12.01am (AEDT) on 22/03/2021 to 11.59pm (AEST) on 20/06/2021

Who can enter?

Only Australian residents who are aged 18 or over

Who can't enter?

Directors, officers, management and employees (and their immediate families) of:

  1. the Promoter;
  2. Immediate Pty Ltd (Immediate);
  3. Coles Supermarkets Pty Ltd;
  4. the agencies, companies, contractors or participating premises associated with this competition.

Where will the competition run?

The competition will run in participating Coles stores (including Coles Express and Coles online) (Stores) in Australia.
For the avoidance of doubt, warehouses servicing Coles online are considered Store/s, for the purpose of this competition


Qualifying Purchase

A specially marked 180g CADBURY DAIRY MILK or OLD GOLD block (from the list below) from a participating Store:


A Qualifying Purchase can only be made during the Competition Period.

Entry instructions

To enter, you must, after making a Qualifying Purchase and collecting/receiving your itemised purchase receipt during the Competition Period, open the packaging of the Qualifying Purchase product to see if a promotional winning ticket is inside and, if so, this is a Winning Ticket.

If your Qualifying Purchase has a Winning Ticket, you must, by 11.59pm (AEST) on 30/09/2021 (Claim Date), visit the Website, locate the claim page and fill out and submit the online claim form in accordance with the instructions provided, including by providing the unique code on the Winning Ticket, uploading an image of the Qualifying Purchase receipt, uploading an image of the Winning Ticket and providing all other requested information. Winners will be required to provide details of a valid Australian bank account in order to claim their prize. If a winner fails to provide the required bank account details they will forfeit the prize and no substitute prize will be offered. After the Claim Date, Winning Tickets will be void and cannot be used to claim a prize.

Your purchase receipt must clearly identify which Store the Qualifying Purchase was made, the product/s purchased (which must be a Qualifying Purchase) and the date of purchase (which must be during the Competition Period before you submitted your claim). The purchase receipt must match the Promoter's records in terms of where a Qualifying Purchase containing a Winning Ticket was available at that time. The Winning Ticket must be a genuine Winning Ticket and must clearly show the unique code as specified on the claim form.

The Promoter is not responsible if your mobile device/desktop is not sufficiently capable for the purpose of submitting a claim, including having the requisite photograph capability.

All claims will be verified by the Promoter (Verification).

If your Qualifying Purchase does not have a Winning Ticket, you can enter the second chance draw (subject to the second chance draw entry limits below) by, during the Competition Period, visiting the Website, locating the second chance draw entry page and filling out and submitting the entry form in accordance with the instructions provided, including by uploading an image of the Qualifying Purchase receipt and providing all other requested information.

How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen?

There will be a total of 500 Winning Tickets distributed to randomly selected Stores throughout the Competition Period, selected by a computerised random system at Immediate, 111/87 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne VIC 3206.

Winning Tickets will be randomly allocated to Stores as follows:

Coles Express

25 Winning Tickets

All other Coles Stores including Coles online

475 Winning Tickets

There will be 500 winners in this competition.

Prizes will be awarded to winners via EFT to the winner's nominated Australian bank account within 28 business days from receipt of bank details.

What can I win?

There are 500 prizes available.

Each prize is AUD $1,000 awarded as cash via EFT.

Total prize pool

The total prize pool is AUD $500,000.

How many times can I enter?

Instant win

You can win multiple times, provided each claim corresponds to a unique Winning Ticket. Each claim must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Second chance draw

There is a limit of 5 second chance draw entries per household as determined by residential address. Each entry must correspond to a separate specially marked 180g CADBURY DAIRY MILK/OLD GOLD block purchased in a Qualifying Purchase and be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

How and when will the instant winner/s be informed?

After Verification, instant winner/s will be notified in writing by email within two business days of Verification.

Instant winners will have their first initial, surname and the Store they made their purchase in published on the Website within two business days of Verification for a period of 28 days.

Proof of purchase

You must keep the following as proof of purchase for all claims/second chance draw entries:

  • original itemised purchase receipt(s) (clearly showing Qualifying Purchase product, date and time of purchase, Store address and Store number); and
  • Winning Ticket/s (if found) (intact and clearly showing the unique number as submitted with your claim).

If you don't produce the above proof of purchase for all claims/entries when asked the Promoter may disqualify all of your claims/entries and you will lose any right to a prize.

Proof of purchase must be identical to that provided by you with your claim/entry.

If, in the Promoter's opinion, you have shared any proof of purchase with another person, or if you have benefitted from the sharing of proof of purchase in any way, all relevant claims/entries will be invalid and all relevant persons will lose any right to a prize.

Second chance draw

If any instant win prize is un-won or not claimed by the Claim Date, a second chance draw will be held at 12.00pm (AEDT) on 28/10/2021 at Immediate, 111/87 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne VIC 3206. Each un-won or unclaimed prize will be distributed to the next valid second chance draw entry randomly drawn until all un-won and unclaimed prizes are awarded. Any winner/s in this draw will be informed in writing by email within two business days of determination. Winner/s will have their first initial, surname and the Store they made their purchase in published on the Website on 04/11/2021 for a period of 28 days.

If a second chance prize has not been accepted or claimed by 12.00pm (AEDT) on 15/12/2021 or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by 12.00pm (AEDT) on 15/12/2021, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded, and the Promoter will forfeit the prize/s from the prize pool.

If any prize remains un-won at the end of this promotion, or if a prize winner cannot be found, that information will be published on the Website on 16/12/2021.

Collection and use of your personal information

If you are a winner, you must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity.

The Promoter may collect your personal information directly or through its agents or contractors. The Promoter will use your personal information to conduct and manage the competition. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to its related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this competition, communicating with you or storing data. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia including in places such as New Zealand, Switzerland, Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

  1. how to seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds about you and seek correction of the information; and
  2. how to complain about a privacy breach and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint.

  1. Your instant win claim must be received by the Claim Date and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. If you return a Qualifying Purchase your claim/entry may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion (unless the product is defective). You will receive a return message confirming your claim/entry. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks. You are responsible for your own costs associated with claiming. If you enter using automatically generated claims or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified.


  1. Any failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).
  2. If you or your claim are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions, your claim (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your claims) may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's satisfaction the validity of your claims (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
  3. You must not:
    1. tamper with the claim process;
    2. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
    3. act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
    4. do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
    5. breach any law; or
    6. behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
  4. The Promoter is not liable for prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
  5. If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.
  6. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
  7. By claiming or entering, you request that your full address not be published.
  8. Printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter’s control will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. Every instant win prize claim in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured, unless the claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.
  9. If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected claims/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
  10. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.


  1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
  2. Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury(including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).
  3. Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s. Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.
  4. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to any social media platform. You completely release any relevant social media platforms from any and all liability.
